Welcome to l00p ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy while helping you connect with others through our AI-powered social discovery platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

By using l00p, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information to facilitate high-fidelity matching and real-time situational discovery.

A. Information You Provide

• Account Information: When you sign up (via Apple or Google Auth), we collect your name, email address, and date of birth to verify you are over 18.
• Profile Data: We collect data you provide to build your identity, including:
  • Photos & Video Reels: Uploaded to Firebase Storage.
  • Personal Details: Gender, Professional Roles, Connection Styles, and Interests ("Themes").
  • Bio & Preferences: Text descriptions and "Looking For" intent.
• Situational Status: When you use "Live Mode," you provide temporary status updates (e.g., "Open to chat at Salt JBR") which are broadcast to nearby users.

B. Information Collected Automatically

• Location Data (Critical Feature):
  • Precise Location: We collect GPS coordinates when you enable "Active Loop Discovery" to show you on the Map and find nearby users.
  • Approximate Location: We use your general city/area for our "Passive City Discovery" feed when you appear offline.
• Usage & AI Interaction: Our "Ghost AI" analyzes your chats and interactions to learn your personality traits ("Ghost Memory"). This allows your AI proxy to act on your behalf and improve matching accuracy.
• Device Information: We collect device models, OS versions, and identifiers to ensure App compatibility and security.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to provide and improve the l00p experience:

1. Core Matching Service: To calculate compatibility scores based on your themes, connection styles, and pace.
2. Ghost AI Learning: To train your personal "Ghost" agent to understand your preferences, suggest conversation openers, and justify matches (e.g., "You both value deep conversations").
3. Real-Time Discovery: To display your specific location on the Map only when you explicitly enable "Live Mode."
4. Notifications: To send you alerts about matches, "Meet Now" invites, and meeting reminders using Firebase Cloud Messaging.
5. Safety & Moderation: To detect bans, block users, and filter content.

3. AI & Data Processing

l00p is an AI-first platform. By using the Service, you acknowledge:

• Generative AI: We use Google Gemini (via Vertex AI/Firebase) to generate bios, analyze compatibility, and facilitate "Ghost" conversations.
• Data Analysis: Your profile text and chat history may be processed by LLMs (Large Language Models) to extract personality insights. This data is anonymized where possible and used strictly to enhance your matching experience.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following ways:

• With Other Users:
  • Your Public Profile (Photos, First Name, Age, Roles, Themes) is visible to other users in the Discovery Feed.
  • Your Precise Location is visible on the Map only to users within a 25km radius and only while you are active.
  • Blocked Users: If you block a user, your data and location are immediately hidden from them, and vice versa.
• Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate the App:
  • Google Firebase: For database, authentication, and secure cloud storage.
  • Google Gemini: For AI processing.
  • Expo / Apple Push Notification Service: For delivering notifications.

5. Your Choices & Control

• Location Privacy: You can disable "Live Mode" at any time. Your profile will default to "Passive Mode" (showing only your generic City). You can also revoke system-level location permissions in your device settings.
• Push Notifications: You can manage notification preferences for New Matches, Messages, and Proximity Alerts in the App Settings.
• Account Deletion: You can request account deletion directly within the App (Settings > Delete Account). This action permanently wipes your data from our servers, including chat logs and match history.

6. Data Retention

• Profile Data: Retained as long as your account is active.
• Meeting Invites: Situational invites and "Meet Now" requests are automatically deleted from our servers after they expire (typically within hours).
• Inactive Accounts: We reserve the right to archive or delete accounts that have been inactive for an extended period.

7. Children’s Privacy

l00p is strictly for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we discover a user is under 18, we will immediately delete their account and block their device.
